Built in 1974, Wings Stadium is the home of the Kalamazoo Wings. We are a full entertainment venue offering concert, professional hockey, family shows, and trade shows. The building capacity is 8,023 with seating capacity for hockey at 5,113. Wings Stadium features four full-service concession stands with two speciality bars located at concourse level. The Underground Sports Bar, is located at ice level and had proven itself to be a popular place to unwind before and after the game.
Purchased in september 2010, Wings West is the newest property to Stadium Management Co. and adds more regulation ice rinks. Located off of South 9th Street, Wings Stadium is just over eight miles from the Wings Stadium Complex and will serve as home for the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). The principal users of the facility are Kalamazoo Optimist Hockey Association (KOHA), West Michigan Hounds (AAA Hockey). Southwest Michigan High School Hockey League (SWMHSHL), and Wings Stadium Adult Hockey League (WSAHL).
Over looking the NHL Rink at Wings West is Old Burdick’s Wings West. Old Burdick’s Wings West is a full service restaurant and bar.
In the Spring of 2009, the Kalamazoo Wings announced they would start a new chapter in their 37-year history and begin playing in the ECHL. As the premiere AA hockey league in North America, the ECHL featured 20 teams, representing 16 states.
Celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2010-11, the North American Hockey League is the largest USA Hockey-sanctioned Junior A league boasting 27 teams from across North America. It prides itself on the development of social maturity and skill of student-athletes ages 16-20 with aspirations of advancing to collegiate and/or professional hockey.
